Preboarding FAQ:

Your Common Questions Answers

By: The Ochsner Health Preboarding Team

Starting a new job is exciting, but it can also bring lots of questions. You might wonder about paperwork, schedules or what happens next. Recruiting compliance specialists hear these questions every day, so they put the most common ones together in one place. Now, you can find the answers you need quickly and feel more confident as you get ready to begin your new role.

1. What’s the difference between a recruiter and a recruiting compliance specialist (RCS)?

You may have spoken with a recruiter during the application or interview process. They are your point of contact for questions about your job offer details.

The RCS supports you during preboarding. They can assist with:

- Background screening
- Employee health appointments
- EverCheck Wallet setup

Recruiters and RCSs work together to support you, so feel free to reach out to either with questions.

2. I’ve accepted my offer but haven’t received any next steps. What should I do?

Check your email inbox and spam/junk folders for messages from Ochsner Health. If you still don't see anything, please contact your RCS for assistance.

3. I think I’ve completed all my preboarding tasks, but I’m not sure.

No problem! Reach out to your RCS to confirm your status.

4. Is the Employee Health appointment the same as the preboarding/onboarding appointment?

Yes, in most cases. However, if you scheduled your appointment at a remote location or at the Shreveport site, you will need to schedule an additional appointment to complete your I-9 verification.

5. I’m returning to Ochsner. Do I need to complete preboarding again?

Yes. If you've been away from Ochsner for any period of time, you'll need to complete the full preboarding process again.

6. I can’t attend orientation due to an emergency. Who should I contact?

Please email both your recruiter and RCS as soon as possible.

7. I’m locked out of Workday. How can I get in?

You won't need access to Workday until your first day. Login credentials will be provided then. There are no tasks for you in Workday before day one.

8. Who do I contact about my first week (schedule, uniform, etc.)?

For details about your first week, please reach out to your leader. If you're unsure who that is, your recruiter or RCS can help you find out.

9. Is New Employee Orientation (NEO) paid training?

Yes, NEO is considered your first official day of work.
