Find answers to common questions about our application process and what it takes to start your career at Ochsner Health. When it comes to joining our team, we are here to help you navigate your path.

  • To be considered for a role, you must apply directly to the job posting on our careers site. You can use information from your last application to auto-fill details for new submissions, making the process quicker. To continue filling out an application you have previously started, log into your candidate account on our website, go to "Active" applications, find the application and click "Continue Application." You can also search for jobs and complete an application by chatting with our virtual assistant, Olivia! Click the Ochsner logo in the bottom right corner of the screen to start a conversation.

  • Once you complete an application, a recruiter will review your submission. If your qualifications are a match, we will reach out to discuss next steps. Our goal is to provide timely feedback to all applicants. We recommend you track the status of your application from your candidate home online.

  • You can check your application status at any time by logging into your candidate home page. Your dashboard will show all the positions you have applied for and your status.

    • Application Received: Your application is in our system and is waiting for review.
    • Application Under Review: A recruiter or hiring manager is reviewing your application. This status continues through the screening and interview process.
    • Assessment in Progress: The role you applied for requires a skills assessment. You will remain in this status until your assessment is complete and a recruiter moves your application to the next stage in our system.
    • Offer in Progress: Congratulations! You have an active offer for this role, or the recruiter is working to extend an offer. If you accept the offer, you will remain in this status as you complete your preboarding tasks leading up to your start date.
    • Cleared for Hire: You have accepted an offer and completed your preboarding tasks. You are now cleared to start! Your application will remain in this status even after you start your new position.
    • Application Closed – Not Selected: You are no longer under consideration for this specific role. You may still be active for other positions you have applied to.

  • You have the flexibility to make changes to your application before submitting it. Once submitted, modifications are not possible. To edit an application before submission, log into your candidate account on our website, go to "Active" applications, find the application and click "Continue Application."

  • Check your voicemail for a message and instructions. You can call the recruiter back or respond to any email or text you may have received. They will connect with you as soon as possible.

  • Official communication from Ochsner will always come from a @ochsner.org email address. Our team members will never ask for personal financial information during the recruitment process.
